IPS-20
Interactive testing and simulation system

The interactive testing and simulation system (IPS) brings together testing and modelling.

Appropriate use of the IEC 61850–6‑compliant database provides the necessary information to adapt the test system to different test tasks.

The interface between the primary and secondary system technology is usually implemented in parallel with copper. Your effective and reliable testing requires a powerful tool — the IPS-20.

With the IPS-20, the demanding electrical signals of the station control technology can be observed and simulated.

Systemtechnik - WASIM 20
WASIM-20
converter simulation

The converter simulation WASIM-20 enables the three-phase status simulation of voltage and current converters.

A reliable check of the control technology functions, measured value acquisition and measured value processing in energy supply systems is hereby efficiently possible.

For the simulation of voltage and current values at the process interface to the control system, the WASIM-20 can be used to measure currents in the range from 0 to 5.5A and voltages between 0 and 65V, as well as the phase angle between current and voltage from ‑180° to +180° be specified.

Mon01
Cell voltage monitoring in electrolysis systems

For the production of plastics, chlorine gas and hydrogen gas are generated in industrial electrolysis processes. The individual cells of the electrolyser are operated with low voltages (approx. 2 V) and very high currents (approx. 5000 A). In order to avoid major economic damage, the early detection of cell defects is absolutely necessary. In relation to the current current value, a significant change in the cell voltage to higher or lower operating values is relevant for error detection. H&S has developed a fully electronic solution for this monitoring task and implemented it in production plants. In addition to the reliable detection of an impending malfunction, the defective cell can also be precisely located.

Uniplex II
development of an electronic controller for the petrochemical industry

The customer’s request was the development of an industrial, compact controller and safety temperature limiter for the operation of large, distributed, decentralized heating circuits. A systematic requirements analysis provided the basis for the conception and development by the H&S team. Through the use of modern sensor and microcontroller technology as well as standardized real-time capable communication technology such as Ethernet and Profibus, a system was created that works reliably in large numbers in an industrial environment. In addition to the control and monitoring functions, the installed software enables easy on-site operation and integration into a process control system. The prescribed documents and tests for certification according to ATEX and NAMUR were properly prepared by H&S and the acceptance procedures were professionally accompanied by a commissioned testing institute.
